What you need are motorized actuators, not heavy solenoids. They are
inexpensive and readily available from places like:
Dakota Digital
3412 Hovland Drive
Sioux Falls, SD 57107
PH 800-852-3228
RB's Obsolete Auto Parts
7711 Lake Ballinger Way
Edmonds, WA 98026
PH 800-426-6607
I've been using them for years for door openers and they work great. By the
way, you don't have to wait for one of Grady's great kits if you are a
do-it-yourselfer. This is a relatively easy conversion that has been
addressed before in DMCNews. I can e-mail a how-to article to anyone who is
interested.
