As far as I can tell the most common problem with the automatic was 
damage to the transmission computer because of power spikes. A previous 
owner of my car had the unit replaced a few years ago, installed P.J. 
Grady's auto trans heat exchanger, and used the car as his daily driver 
with no further problems. I drive mine three times a week and I haven't 
had a problem yet, either. It shifts faster than any human I've ridden with.

The other "problem" of course is that it won't go 0-60 in eight seconds. LOL
