My window switches pop up too, and I know why. I carefully pried them out 
one at a time to swap the switches. I wanted to test if this made any 
difference in my passenger side window not working. I also cleaned them both 
then put them back in place. There are tiny little plastic tabs that hold 
them in place, and one tab broke off each switch as I carefully removed it. 
(No tools, just fingers.) I haven'[t gotten around to figuring out how to 
make them stay down, and I don't need or want to replace them. Anyone got any 
ideas?
