I read in DeLorean's autobiography that he got an excellent deal on the Park Ave. offices. He said that the building was owned by Xerox and that they gave him the space he occupied for less money per square foot, than a comparable office in suburban Detroit. I can't recall the exact figure, but I think it was some ridiculously low rate like $19 per square foot. Has this story been disproved over the years, or have most people just not read his autobiography?
