Correct. There're two brackets that reinforce the crumple tubes and
stronger U-brackets for the roll bar. There were 3 or 4 seperate recalls,
and the final one included the reinforcement brackets. Being an early car
with no recalls, mine had the crappy early U-brackets so i prioritised
this recall (your vin is close to mine). I got my kit from PJ Grady but I
imagine most vendors will be able to help

If they even get as far as doing business with him in the first place that

is.  Most people get yelled off the phone if they try calling him.

That sounds like a poor excuse. As is, there's nothing preventing a spider
from coming along a picking up the email addresses anyway. Just because
they're not on the homepage doesn't mean a spider-bot can't find them.

If he's truly concerned about members getting spam, he should set up a
contact form using a drop down menu where you can select the board member
the email should go to. It could be set up in 15 minutes.

It's not so much will it damage the stainless but what you might find when
you take the paint off. Are you certain that it hasn't been damaged and
patched in any way? Paint is great at hiding damaged body panels.
