Yes, I was talking about the expen$ive SS lines from Hervey. They are a nice product, but they do co$$t, and that may not be in your budget for this project. We never had to replace the inner lines ourselves. My local auto parts store did this for us. They may have heated the line ends of the inner lines with a heat gun, in boiling water, hot sand, hot oil, or something similar to soften and expand them before pushing them over the barbs. I really don't know what they did. We just brought our old lines in, the guy went in the back room, and came out again sometime later with a new core in the hose. He did have to slit the end of the outer rubber to get access to the barbs, so we used small black cable ties right at the very end of the black outer sheath to keep it neat afterwards. The repair was good. The lines repaired this way never leaked again, and they only charged something around $10 per line. But after one after another of these lines leaked, instead of repairing them one by one as they failed we decided to repalce them all with the SS lines so that we would not have to worry about which line would leak next, and so the under-hood appearance would be improved. You will have to find a GOOD auto parts store. Autozone, Pep Boys, and the like are not likely to be able to do this. We went to a place called "Foreign Auto Parts" that specialized mostly in import car parts.
