Because of the high pressures that the hoses have to handle and the potential danger from a leaking connection or a burst hose I would not fool around with them. If you have to replace a hose get one from one of the vendors. They have a proven track record of supplying a good, safe product suitable for the Delorean. Any place else and you are risking failure. A couple of more bucks for the RIGHT hose is cheap insurance. Besides, the origional hoses ahve a low failure rate.
