Oliver, If the injectors haven't been cleaned then that would be the first thing I would do. ( $79.95 ) But the second thing would be the warm up regulator that is 25 years old if it hasn't been changed. It's also called the fuel pressure regulator on top of the valve cover at the back drivers side. ($150.00 )exchange. I also loan out a CIS Tester to check it out if you need it. Hello all, 10694 is a normally happy little 'D.' But occasionally the engine will stutter when trying to accelerate. Seems to happen going up hill, or just speeding up on a straightaway. Then at other times it's fine. -So real curious. Doesn't seem to matter whether the engine is cold or hot, Tank full or near empty, raining or dry. I'd suspect something loose, but the problem comes and goes. It isn't consistent over several months. Last thing done was changed the water pump. Your opinions are appreciated.
