With only this description - it sounds electrical. Probably a connection. Check connections on the resistor block (check them all along the supply). Check all of the grounds to the engine including the engine strap at the motor mount. Check connections at the coil (check the coil wire too - is it seated completely?) and the distributor feed to the engine module. You might also check the ground at the engine module - be sure it is tight. How about the electrical charge? Battery up, etc. I assume you did a regular start, not a jump start and the alternator is working ok.
