I will do that. I'm planning to take a dremel tool to it tonight or tomorrow. Besides the throttle position sensor on the unit (thanks David T. for correcting me) not changing resistance, there are three solder pads on the unit. i can only meter voltage between the center ground pad and the bottom pad. I cannot meter anything off of the other "phase" so the unit definitely has problems stemming back to the previous owner. The bummer is, that in the interest of delivering the car I refurbished for our family friend back to him last fall, I gave him my good "alternator" and I am stuck with this bad one and my own car un drivable. Thankfully, the damage to this unit did not seem to hurt the transmission in his car. It's been driving and shifting fine with his computer, solenoids, and my trans "alternator" I guess I shoulda charged him for a new one from the vendors. Oh well. lesson learned. --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "Dave Delman" <doctorDHD@...> wrote: > > If you ever do open up the "alternator" please take lots of picture and share them... > > Thank you, > > Dave Delman > electricdelorean.com > To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
