Here's the story. I'm doing a frame-off restoration on my car, and I've gotten to the point of putting the suspension back on the car. I even pressed in new wheel bearings that I purchased from a vendor. Anyway, on one of the rear drive shafts (the piece that's pressed into the rear wheel bearing), I can wiggle it up and down about 1mm. On the other side, I cannot wiggle it at all. All of the play is within the wheel bearing itself. Note, that I have *not* installed the rear hub or torqued the large nut yet. So, does this mean I have a bad wheel bearing out of the box, or am I jumping the gun here? thanks, Matt #1604 To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
