I keep raggin on Samuel that he needs to have the car look nice at least from the outside. I suggested that he _at_least_ get some cheapo red spray paint to restore the stripped blotches on the stainless. Nope, not a chance. Well, soon he will find out just how non-anonymous these cars are, so it is important to always look your best. I get people all over town saying hi and telling me about other DeLoreans they see around town. Funny how I never find them. I hear about a red one and a green one both with really bad paint jobs flaking everywhere. Now Samuel is going to be driving another red one with a really bad paint job! ;-) More funny things to mention about Samuel's car: the previous owner butchered the connections to the cooling fans and started running new wires to power them. Luckily they didn't do any permanent damage except maybe shorten the wires coming out of the fans. The next worst thing was the trailing arm bolts. One side was obviously replaced, but they put the shims on the wrong side where they don't do any good. I knew something was wrong when the car touched Florida road for the 1st time. The wheel was way too far toe-in. Samuel absolutely positively doesn't want a painted car, but this one may need some new panels to do that. Maybe I'll donate a can of red spray paint to fill in the holes for until he gets around to stripping it. ;-) Walt Yahoo!
