170hp DeLorean engine

Just a quick word, and thanks to Steve for the kind words.
The DeLorean's engine is internally identical to the Volvo 2849cc PRV's.
It has metering and ignition systems common to the B28F US-spec Volvo
engine. Over here in England/europe, the B28E was the equivalent and did
not have a Lambda system, nor did it have a catlytic converter. The
mechanical ignition advance has a different curve and the metering head
and control pressure regulator are different to account for the lack of
Lambda and the fuelling curve compliments the ignition timing. The B28E
engine put out 170bhp from stock. It is to this version that we
converted Steve's engine. Whether it puts 170bhp on the road will be
affected by the exhaust system, which on Steve's car now has no
catalytic converter, but a standard back box. It definitely has a
completely new sound (even compared to a de-catted stock engine) with a
lovely rasp. Not a patch on what the stainless steel exhaust would give
it, but I think Steve has his eye on one next :-)

Hello All,
A little word from Stevo in leafy, loafy Bath. My right hooker, Lola, has been driving in rather a special way since Martin and Daves excellent 170HP conversion.
