The V6 engine is fairly common in scrap yards, I'd be surprised in the other one was the same, but who can tell. They had six Volvo's, the oldist of which were 3 'D' reg. vehicles, with mechanical fuel injection and 3 others of various ages with EFI. Only problem was that none of them had V6 engines, most had straight 6's. Anyway I popped the injector out of one of them and it looked similar but I wasn't sure as I had forgotten to bring my original to compare it too and didn't have the part # to hand. (it was a last minute decision after finishing work on Saturday afternoon!) Having returned home I popped one out of my car and thinking about it having seen my original I reckon that they are exactly the same. Is this likely?, the engine is not a V6 so is it likely that they are completely different and just look the same. I know the ultimate answer it to write down the part # and head back to the scrap yard. Just be interested if anyone thinks that they could be the same or if I am on a wild goose chase.
