Some of my emails are taking a long time to come back, and some are duplicated! They had six Volvo's, the oldist of which were 3 'D' reg. vehicles, with mechanical fuel injection and 3 others of various ages with EFI. Only problem was that none of them had V6 engines, most had straight 6's. Anyway I popped the injector out of one of them and it looked similar but I wasn't sure as I had forgotten to bring my original to compare it too and didn't have the part # to hand. (it was a last minute decision after finishing work on Saturday afternoon!) Having returned home I popped one out of my car and thinking about it having seen my original I reckon that they are exactly the same. Is this likely?, the engine is not a V6 so is it likely that they are completely different and just look the same. I know the ultimate answer it to write down the part # and head back to the scrap yard. Just be interested if anyone thinks that they could be the same or if I am on a wild goose chase.
