For what its worth, I ran over a small animal about a year ago and had
some minor front end damage.  An insurance adjuster came out, looked
my entire car over, I even mentioned the carburetor to him, and it
didn't bother him one bit.  In fact, we had a jolly time talking about
an old Ford he is restoring and he even waived my $100 deductable and
paid to have my shift linkage bolt changed.  I got a little over
$1,100 in work done for FREE without even paying my deductable.

My insurance adjuster was nothing like the people on here who seem to
have their fun by nit picking at any modification they can think of.

I forgot to mention but I've got a set of PJ Grady's tail light boards
installed on my car.  If they quit working and someone slams into the
back of me, should I sue Grady?  I wouldn't dare add a third brake
light to my car because it could possibly fly off the car and hit a
car that is following me.  I might get sued if a third brake light
were to come off my car and damage someone's windshield.

Hmm, maybe I should put a sign on the back of my Delorean similiar to
the signs you see on the back of construction trucks, "WARNING, STAY
BACK 100 FEET!  NOT RESPOSIBLY FOR DELEOREAN PARTS THAT MIGHT FALL OFF
AND HIT YOUR NICE MODERN CAR".  I guess a sign like that would prevent
people from being able to successfully sue me.
