Dani,

That sounds like normal operation.  I would bet your system is working perfectly.  Why do you want to run the A/C when it's cold?

Subject: [DML] A/C troubles


Hello all, I'm having an issue where my A/C runs only when it is HOT outside. When it is cool or cold, the A/C won't turn on, the compressor won't even engage. Sometimes in cool weather (60's-ish) the A/C will come on for a second or 2 and then shut right off. The a/c has plenty of charge in it, I'm just wondering which electrical part or A/C component will fix this once replaced. I need to discharge the system soon anyway in order to change an O-ring on the condenser lower fitting, so I'd like to fix whatever else is causing this issue at the same time.
