Not difficult, but pay attention to how it goes together. This is a
much more pleasant job if the tank is low on gas before you start. You
probably ought to plan on replacing the lower rubber support ring (aka
boot) as well.
When you take that cover off you'll probably see fuel on top of the
pump. With all that cracking you may also have water in the tank by now
so you should look at the bottom of the tank, keeping an eye out for
water and rust.
