There were many, many prototype and "pilot" production cars, some of
which survive today and have many, many little differences from the
production car.
Electric issues can pretty much be aimed at the available sources of
parts in England at that time The DeLorean is actually blessed with
pretty reliable electrics when it comes to the important systems (on the
engine for example).
The trailing arm bolt arrangement is common to the Esprit. How many more
times?
The radiator bleed hose may not automatically bleed a bone dry radiator,
but popping it off (one hose clip) ONCE and it'll be good in
perpituity. It's hardly a "design flaw". How would you have arranged a
radiator self-bleed? For a true design flaw in a radiator, check out the
Alpine GTA with steel coolant pipes and radiator feed AND return in the
middle of the rad tanks.
As Jim has pointed out, the hose you have removed is an hose designed to
duct air over the motor commutator. Given the motor is made of STEEL
(most are!) and the vent box assembly is largely plastic, where do you
think condensation is most likely to form? And what do you think is the
simplest way to dry out any formed condensation? Air flow perhaps?
