Mike, If you jumped 87 & 30 on the RPM / fuel pump relay and the pump
doesn't run, while it's plugged in check the inertia switch wires and the FP
wiring harness. If those are ok then the FP may have given it up.

Subject: [DML] Dead fuel pump?
After 11 years of ownership my car left me stranded. I was starting
from a red light when the car started to buck so I pulled over and it
died. I tried to restart and it just cranks. I got it towed home and
when I put the key in the on position I notice I don't hear the hum of
the fuel pump. I tried to jump the relay to see if I could get the pump
running but nothing happens. I noticed the past few times I would take
the car out sometimes it would buck but it would stay running and then
go alright. It can't be the inertia switch because it was bypassed
before I owned the car and it never caused any problems in my 11 years
of ownership. I also checked the fuse and it was okay. Does this sound
like I need a new fuel pump? Is there a way to test the fuel pump out
of the car to make sure it's the pump or something else? Any help
appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Mike
