My drive shaft seals leaked a drip while sitting a day or two as well,
but it was my shaft selector seal that leaked like a sieve after a
while (#103049). If you're taking the transmission out of the vehicle,
this is probably the only seal I'd recommend changing without actually
digging into the main guts of the transmission. There really aren't
any other seals that can go bad quickly ? the drive shaft seals and
shift selector seal always have parts moving which will wear them out
sooner than later. The only thing you'll need to replace the seal is
the seal itself and the gasket for the end cover. And also, if you
replace this seal, it's a good idea to get new bellows (#103131). Hope
this helps?-----Dani B. #5003
