Re: [DML] Fixing up a D: Is it worth it?

I for one like to work on cars and I have recently gotten two nice cars that
needed a bit of TLC

I spent time on the first one and entered it in Houstons concours and with a
little more time
Well who knows what would have happened. Although I did not win It did real
well and I was more than pleased. ( 12 points out of first and take away the 5
bonus points of the leader and I was 7 points down I'll take that anytime
especially this last concours where all the cars were under 600 miles.)

The second one was more of a project car although still in very good
condition body and frame wise.

I have not even finished it and I have two people interested in buying it and
guess what
Its at $20K

This car has been gone over and for being in good shape and keeping in the
context of this thread, I spent a good sum of money to upgrade the car where
needed.

The people interested in this car are people that are not interested or
capable of doing any of the repairs I did to restore the car to a like new
condition

I had the car at Chicago and once the fuel system was cleaned it started
right up after 6 years of sitting idle.

I love my D's

And to answer the questions I am getting a lot of e-mails on, YES 1880 is
going to be sold eventually once I am done "playing with it."

If you want to see some pics of it e-mail me privately.
