Oil, Start, Warm Up? [ was No unmoderated ]

I would be willing to change my mind if the info given was based on experience,
fact or/and scientific proof and not speculation, because I want what is best for
my future D and current cars. And since I am not a mechanic or an avid "wrencher"
I am open to others' expertise.

I agree that the "nastiness" needs to be halted and in this case it was, but
unless I missed it, the topic never really came to fruition. I would like to hear
more on the " when to start your car, <snip> how long it should sit or not sit "
topic.

If you don't want to post, please e-mail me your thoughts privately.

Let's also take the oil thread.....trying to convince someone what kind of oil is
better, when to start your car, how to start our car, how long it should sit or
not sit is a NO WIN situation. Everyone has their own preference based on their
experience and nothing is going to change their mind....nothing. It will only
get nasty and then name calling starts. It's the moderators job to end this type
of thing.
