Before suggesting that someone routinely replaces their coil springs keep this in mind. Removing the springs on any vehicle can be a very dangerous procedure. All professional automotive mechanic manuals contain explicit warnings that coil spring removal can cause serious injury if improper tools or procedures are used. This situation is even more critical in the DeLorean. Having a local suspension service facility do the job will eliminate the possibility of injury and not cost much more than purchasing a spring compressor tool.
