[ moderator's note: It may be best if those interested in this work with each other through private emails. I'm sure if a finished product does become available many on the list would then be interested.] DVD-r drives can be had on ebay for around $450... And they are expected to drop after Christmas, according to normal media sources. That thought is burning a hole in my head. :) Also, VCD is an option for something as short as a commercial. That is a Mpeg-2 movie on a regular 650 or 700 mg CD that plays in some better DVD players. That I can burn. I have an analog-digital encoder... and I have friends still in the TV business so if the tape comes on 3/4" video tape, 1" video tape, or something else I might be able to get it transferred for free. That is if anyone finds an original and wants to loan it out for a bit.
