In addition to the toothpaste idea mentioned in another reply, 
products such as Brasso, silver polish, and jewelers rouge that are 
used for fine polishing of metal also work very well for plexiglas and 
clear plastic. I used to have a motorcycle with a plastic windshield, 
and I used Brasso to keep it clear and free of scratches, etc. If the 
hazing on your lense is on the surface only, this polishing concept 
might help.
