When I spoke to Ed about the engine, he said that it was running and that he had put it in a car before to do some race laps. I can't vouch for the validity of the statement, but I did see this engine and it appeared quite real to me. There is an article about the Legend engine and car in the Delorean Gold Portfolio, and it mentions the engine and the fact that it is owned by Ed Bernstein. He keeps it on display in the front office of his shop in L.A. So, if anyone is interested in seeing the thing, I highly recommend checking it out. It is worth the long drive through the valley.
