If you ever wanted to see what a Delorean Gullwing door looked like 
from the outside (in) of the door without the Stainless Steel skin,
(And the Stainless Steel Skin can be Removed as witnessed by these 
photos)

This Door was removed back in 1982,(2,200 miles)so that everything 
you see on
the door is as set by the factory
Take a CLOSE look at the Extra Framing that was put around the door 
pillers,and 
the extra plate welded on the roof,of the door,and the massive door 
beam made from SS,also note how the threaded bracket(s) are inserted 
for the four bolts that hold the hindges to the door,the door was 
setup,so that the WINDOW is NOT needed for structural support. 
There was plenty of Research and Development done on the Doors,in 
fact,parts of the door
frame are as thick or thicker than the Car frame.
