Darryl,

You have my curiosity up now. I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere on the
list, so when I get the whole list downloaded on my computer then I will be
able to search it easier.

Anyway, I was working under my car today and while I was there I looked over
the steering rack. There is a point where the pinion mounts, and then there
is an alternate place where the pinion could attach which is covered by a
cover plate. If one swapped the locations of the pinion and the cover
plate, rotated the rack assembly about 90 degrees, then it appears it would
still fit the car and probably work. Could this be what I read about? Are
you sure this can't be done? Not that anyone would do this on purpose. Is
this cover plate the place the pinion is supposed to attach when using it on
a RHD car? Or is it there for some other purpose?
