Your post suggest that the "shop manual" is in some way bogus.....
It's probably the apparent tone that makes it sound rude. The people who have posted
suggestions regarding DeLorean shop manuals were offering you help.

I have had mechanical exposure for better than 30 years, and when I  got
my DeLorean,purchased bot the shop manual and the parts manual and the repair
up-dates. If you are going to do your own work with out a shop manual how are you
going to know real important things like torque spec's, or the locations of screws.

The only way you are ever going to find many of the easy to replace parts that 
when they fail will ground your DeLorean.
