I have an 1988 Esprit and a Delorean. The Delorean (non-catalytic, here in Ireland) on Bridgestone tyres has far better grip and cornering than the Esprit. For a car with the engine hanging over the rear wheels it can take a roundabout ( European device for road filtering) at at least twice the speed of the Esprit. At high speeds the front gets too light but in the 60 - 100 Mph range it has superb ride and grip.
