My family's DeLorean-buying experience was remarkably similar to yours!

My obsession with DeLoreans started when I was about 15 (3 years ago) after
watching Back To The Future and searching for DeLoreans on the Internet. My
dad wasn't really interested in DeLoreans at the time, but after visiting
Don Steger's DeLorean Motor Center during a trip to the USA he came to
appreciate the car like I did :-)

The only problem was DeLoreans are very rare here in Australia. And when the
opportunity to buy one came up in late '98 we had to act quickly! So after
much financial juggling my dad purchased our '82 DeLorean (VIN 10599) in
December of 1998.

It's not exactly 'my' DeLorean, but I'm damn proud of it nonetheless :-) And
I'm sure it will be 'mine' sometime in the future... when I can afford to
buy it off dad.
