Gus-

I suffer from the same problems with the pedals. Headroom, not a problem for 
me, I'm only 5'10. But it seems I'm always hitting the brake when I go for 
the accelerator. (it's an automatic) So maybe we just suffer from bigger 
feet than in the early 80's..
