Does anyone know, in detail, the work involved in fixing sloppy linkage. I
have the books but there is not enough reference and illustration to
determine whether my parts need replaced or just adjusted (mostly the
cable). My car is not shifting into 5th gear as the suspected cable is not
permitting.

Anyone with "detailed" assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
