I seem to remember that "DeLorean Motor Cars" was a wholly owned
subsidiary of "DeLorean Motor Company." I believe one of them was an
American company and the other a British company, with one owning the
factory and one owning the other company. This made some substantial tax
savings, I believe. The confusion between the two was also used by JZD in
the setup for the drug deal, as the one without any assets was to be sold.
