The DeLorean doesn't *really* have model years. The factory made all
changes (not just cosmetic ones) whenever they became available. Part of
JZD's "ethical car" concept was that model years were just invented by the
car makers to make people buy more new cars. So, as far as DMC was
concerned, there were no model years. There had to be a model year to
print on the title, so there were, officially, model years, but the
factory didn't pay any attention to them.
