There were many variations within "model years" for the DeLorean. My '82 has 
no gas flap and no relief lines on the luggage compartment "hood," but does 
have the DeLorean name (small) on the hood toward the front. It's tough to 
categorize model years by cosmetic details, which tended to change on a 
constant basis. A good example is the original in-windshield radio antenna, 
which was supplanted early on by the rear retractable mast.
