[DML] newbie question

I have recently started investigating purchasing a Delorean. It really
seems like there are a lot of maintenance issues with the car....if i
were to purchase a bone stock car, how much money would i have to spend
to
replace all the things that should be replaced, meaning all the
comments i
see about "You should replace that hose with a steel braided one.."
etc...

is this impression of there being a lot of maintenance issues well
founded?

i don't know if i'm interesting in purchasing a car that will have
something
wrong with it most of the time....but if i've got the wrong impression,
please
let me know.
