Had the brakes been "pumped up" after the new parts were installed? When
new pads are installed, the calipers must be forced backwards in order to
fit nice fat new pads around the rotor. This action will force brake fluid
back into the reservoir at the master cyl. (and sometimes, out on to the
floor) Now assuming that the brake job went smoothly (i.e. didn't have to
replace a caliper, no brake lines broke) and some replacement brake fluid
was added to the reservoir, maybe the new parts need to be seated by
pumping the brake a few times. Check fluid level first and check for fluid
on the floor at each tire (leaks).
