Oh Dear! Having read the article I do have some sympathy for poor old Quinten, The person we need to point the finger at is the person who lent the car to him in the first place. The problems he faced battery , door locks ect are all ones most of us will have had fixed over time .My doors work perfectly after new struts were fitted In fact I have complaints from my family that they come up too fast and are hard to pull down! I am sad that the car was not one most of us would have wanted reviewd but in case any of you were worried about this on the other side of the Atlantic remember this... "The Mirror " is THE most shallow of all our tabloid press (and we have some brammers!!) the paper was THE most left wing paper on sale in Britain in the eighties and De Lorean was a Conservitive project . The car was still in development ( let him drive a mark one Porche 914 and come out happy ) and lastly I paid a LARGE sum of money for my car I spent a LARGER sum restoring all the bits he mentioned , less than a month ago I turned down a cash offer of £18K for my car ( $25K) and I have said a lot worse about my car than he did before it was finished !! ( I bet we all have had our SELL IT, GET RID OF IT stage !) It was only an opinion ,The D.O.A should do the best thing it can and invite him and a film crew to the Octoberfest and let him drive the cars that have been fully restored and then put him at the controls of one of the turbo cars .With a little work we could turn him around and get some good press !! ( what do I know I,m in P.R.) thats my two pence! Neil in Scotland 2119
