[DML] Help! My car is bleeding green!

After driving yesterday in the 100+ degree Texas heat, I noticed a slight antifreeze-like smell in the garage.  Sure enough, today I found a few ounces of the green stuff on the garage floor.  It wasn't leaking at the time, but when I removed the radiator cap (resevoir cap?) the fluid started flowing freely.  I can't see exactly where from, but it's on the ignition-timing marks and is dripping from just above.  Since all the hoses are six months old, I'm inclined to believe that my water pump has failed.

So my question to you, dear reader, is: do you agree with my diagnosis?  Andif so, do you think I should attempt to tackle this problem myself?  And how many beers will it require?
