Marc,
There is Belfast International Airport and there's Belfast City Airport.
The International is 14 miles from the city centre, and the City airport
is
only 2 miles from the city centre. It doesn't matter which airport you
use.
There are bus and taxi services from both. Just use whichever is the
cheapest to fly into.

I agree with you John, and another thing - no sign of a torsionbar, and

doors have two gas struts, which when viewed from the side of the car
looks
really stupid. It's not done professionally.
Thank God the DeLorean only has one gas strut which by the way, fits
neatly
into the total design on the rear of the door :)
Final remark - Although the doors look somewhat strange compared to the
DeLorean's, we can only hope that car manufacturers start to build cars
with
gullwing doors! I guess you could call it a game then - "Follow the
Leader"

Marc,
The Euro has not yet been introduced into Ireland in terms of coins or
notes. You can have transactions in Euros, but as yet not cash ones.
Hotels will quote you rates in Euros if you wish, but they'll probably
expect
payment in dollars or pounds.

I have a feeling that the reason for the pivot at the end like that is for
leaking, didn't Mercedes doors leak then DeLorean made a special seal to
stop
it? If you look at those doors they look like doors on a regular car
except
open up, and I have a feeling that it would require at least double the
amount of room a DeLorean needs to open its door.

We are flying into Shannon airport and then taking a shuttle flight to
Belfast International Airport which is about 14 miles west of the city.
Barnes & Nobel has several good books and maps of Ireland. My wife and I

I agree with you Mike... my top questions I get asked
are, "where's the flux capacitor", "can I sit in it",
and "wow can I sit in it?".
I always try to accomodate them, for one reason, when
I take her out, it's always for a joy ride, so I'm not
in a hurry, and the biggest thing, is that God gave me
the good fortune to have one, and be able to afford
one, and it wouldn't be right to be snide or mean to
people who have the desire to explore it.

I replaced the rear speakers in my car with Pioneer p/n 130tsa5715
speakers from Crutchfield. I think they are 5x7. They really made the
ASI sound much better, the origional speakers were stiff and sounded
awfull. The fronts are now Pioneer p/n 130ts879 3-1/2 2- way and were
bolt-in. The rears took a little pushing to fit but the hardest part
was removing the rear trim to get to them. Use a heat gun and
puttyknife, go slowly and patiently so as not to rip the vinyl. The
origional radios can't power a sub-woofer so at that point you are
also changing the radio unless you add an amplifier. I have seen some
installations where a panel was fabricated to go below the rear window
behind the seat and the speakers were installed in it. With the right
carpeting covering it it looks factory but you give up some valuable
room on the rear shelf. The compartment behind the driver's seat (the
"vault") makes a good place for the c/d changer if you can give that
up.(Keep it removable in case you need to get to the lambda computer).

The site is not commercial, there is one banner, on
one page. I get banners from Yahoo for the DML, that
doesnt make DML commercial. The banner on the site
actually doesn't try to sell anything, it simply
offers a service that other Delorean owners might
like.
In regards to the DML list archive, you are correct, I
did put that forum online, and as you notice, it is
empty. I forwarded an email request to the address on
DMCnews to get permission to put the archives online
so they could be indexed and searched in an easy
manner (nothing like hitting "door" and getting all
the posts concerning a door), from the vast
knowledgebase the DML has. I'm not sure if you're the
one who got the email, but I have not received a
response, therefore, I haven't put them online.
I would think that DMCNews would welcome the
opportunity to offer a service that would benefit the
Delorean owner community. If DMCNews denies the
request, then obviously it will not be placed online.
The intent of deloreancentral is to offer another
place (as there are few as it is), to help promote the
Delorean and communication between Delorean
enthusiasts and owners. Deloreancentral doesnt sell
accessories, parts, or any merchandise for that
matter, so it shouldn't be construed as a site
designed to compete with Delorean sites with a
commercial interest. I put the site up for one
reason, and one reason only, I love the Delorean, it's
become my hobby since I got one, and I want to help
others with their automobile loves of their lives as
well.
