This is always fun :-). I chose "88 MPH" for my tags... stole the idea
from a friend in SC (thanks Brian! hehe).

I need some help guy's.

My car has no power beyond 4000 rpm.

It was having hard start problems. A new warm-up regulator solved that
problem.

Now it won't run past 4000 rpm while driving.

Last spring, I did a major tune-up and it ran fine. My fuel
pump/suction line/strainer are fine. I have a new accumulator and fuel
filter installed. Also the injectors were replaced last spring.

What should I do next? I can't remember if this is a characteristic of
a failing coil. The car has about 27K on it.

What do you think?

The diagnostic socket is a convenient place to monitor the Lambda
system. Outside of that you can get any signals you need from other,
better places. The timing pick-up isn't really needed as any timing
light you get will not need it. This was probably intended as a "one
stop shopping" spot with a dedicated piece of equipment to monitor the
engine and electrical system but if you have individual pieces of test
equipment the plug isn't used. It was meant to save time hooking up to
the car. I think the same applies to the plug used on the automatic
transmission shift computer. I do think you could build a piece of
equipment to use the plug but it would probably be easier to just
build a harness and attach all of your tools to it. I think ALL of the
Deloreans came with the plug early and late. On many cars that had the
transmission removed they never replaced the timing pick-up anyway.

Like many others who saw a glimmer of hope for getting our own D.

Got this in email just now:

Thank you for your interest in the Delorean Finance Company.
Unfortunately, due to problems with our investors, we are unable to
start business at this time. We hope to have this problem resolved
by the end of 2003.

Sincerely,

I would like to speak to anyone who has installed door launchers on their
cars. I am thinking of installing them on mine. My preference is to "do
it
myself" as opposed to buying a kit because I already have a good remote
alarm
with extra channels.

Thank you,

Dave

Hey there,
Does anyone know how to get the Sunstar BTTF model apart to adjust the

doors? Its definately not as easy as the Stock DMC model was to take
apart.
Something about the wheel folding mechanism makes the bottom seemed glued
down. Anyone know how to get this apart?

Patrick

Scott, Now that that has been replaced. I would be sure the 02 adjustment
is
now correct. In other words, get the car hot and readjust. Be sure the
spark
advance/timing is ok. If this doesn't do it, then you many need to look at

the injectors. Clean or new makes a big difference.
