Re: [DMCForum] Lambda relay

I dont want to blow $18 for a part if something else in my system has a
short in it thats why i wanted to know if anyone had a used unit they
didn't want.

The Lambda relay is bad, how do i know this. I removed the relay from
the car, i put it on my work bench, i removed the cover, i did a test to
the contacts open and closed through the circuit and it doesnt work.

I put the relay in the car with out the cover off and it did nothing so
i removed the relay from the car and even applied power to the relay and
it did nothing.

The failure mode by the relay is no frequency valve and the lambda unit
is not working, no power to the frequency valve.

When i jump the RPM relay all i get is the idle speed motor working, no
clicking from the Lambda relay or the frequency valve.

the wiring seems to be ok but i dont know if the Lambda control unit is
the cause of the Lambda relay burning out thats why i wanted to try to
see if i could get a used relay that nobody wanted first before i dished
out $18 for a new relay.

I am just going to buy a new relay and eat the $18 if i blow it out.

Subject dropped.
