I have to say that I commend bosch on many different levels- It was a guy/company named BENDIX that invented fuel injection because he wanted to be able to fly airplanes upside down. This is not possible with carburetors because of the way the gasoline is fed from the bowl. Bendix patented the idea, and went on to successfully create upside down airplanes (which we all know was and is a booming business). Bosch had the foresight to see that it might have automotive uses/benefits. Bosch bought rights from bendix to use the patent and went on to make gazillions inventing popular auto fuel injection. So who's heard of bendix? well, I guess I have, but a lot of people know the name bosch over bendix. It wasn't because they had a good idea, just that they were smart enough to use the idea. PLUS, good enough to get bendix to sell them the rights. i don't know when this was, but consider that everything technological has a life cycle. The K-CIS life cycle has long passed. I counted 6 different ways to enrich the fuel mixture the the k-jetronics. Really makes it a bitch to troubleshoot falsse rich conditions. I'm just full of information this week huh.
