RE: [DMCForum] Re: To buy or not to buy VIN 7007 and 10792

I am not an expert and I may be incorrect but the Lamba counter is used to
tell you when to replace oxygen sensor, once it hits 30,000 miles you
reset
it and replace your sensor. Your speedometer (angle drive) must be
functioning for this to work....

Actually I prefer a manual transmission. That's why I'm more interested in
VIN 10792.
My future Delorean won't be a daily driver. but I would like to drive it
whenenver I want (weekends etc..)

Does anybody have a clue why the lambda-counter and lambda relay were
removed?
What is that good for?

  Ryan,

Some additional thoughts: Consider whether you really want a DeLorean
with
an automatic transmission. Most people prefer a manual, and they give
  better fuel economy anyway.

If you go chipping at epoxy, be careful because broken pieces can be as
sharp as a razor blade. (Ask me how I know.)

My opinion is that any DeLorean that is used as a daily driver should
have
a
full frame-off restoration to preserve the frame; though, very few
people
are willing to go to this much trouble.

  Walt
