[doc] Striker pins

Hi all.

I've just started to get a problem with my passenger door unlatching a bit
while driving. Now this scares the passenger as much as me!.

I've had a look at the striker pins and noticed the front one was very
loose. I've tightened it down and it seems to be ok now. My question is
while tightening I noticed there seems a point when it gets tight and then
if you give it another slight turn its clicks and becomes loose again, like
a skipping thread.
Now I've not had the car that long and there seem to be quite a few spacing
washers around behind the pin.
Is this normal? What could be the problem and what is the remedy?
