What you describe does not sound like a "computer" issue.. There are easy steps to check the operation of the shift controller using some lights to the test pins, I think the document is on the DMCNews web site, but the jist of it is to hook 2 bulbs on the 3 large pins, and drive the car. 1st gear, both lights on. 2nd gear one light off. 3rd gear both lights off. if the lights change, the controller is working properly, but if the trans is not shifting even though the controller lights change then it is a mechanical problem. Some things to check are the line pressure, and vacuum modulator. Is could be some stuck valves too (from sitting so long). Have you changed flushed and replaced the fluid (beyond what you drained from the pan when changing the controller)? --- On Sun, 4/15/12, Doug Menkhaus <dmenkhaus@xxxxxxxx> wrote: > From: Doug Menkhaus <dmenkhaus@xxxxxxxx> > Subject: RE: [DML] Automatic transmission - how to remove computer > To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Date: Sunday, April 15, 2012, 10:33 PM > Thanks John.
