I do agree with you when it comes for the need to be connected by e-mail, but over the years, Joan and her late husband, John Truscott, have done more for the DOA and the DeLorean community as a whole than almost anyone. On top of that, she’s a heck of a nice person to work with. I have no problem using a phone when it comes to keeping in touch with Joan, because she’s always such a pleasure to talk with. In fact, I’m sure that’s at least a part of why she answers the DOA’s phone. As our Treasurer, Joan keeps outstandingly detailed financial records. I have heard the calls to publish a treasurer’s report for our members, and intend to do so in the next issue of the magazine. I don’t know why this wasn’t done more frequently in the past, as according to our bylaws, it is required when revenue or receipts total in excess of $10,000 per calendar year. If any former Board members are following this discussion and know the answer, I’d be interested in hearing about it. The DOA was incorporated in the state of California. Our bylaws are available in pdf format to members who wish to review them upon request. I have sent you a copy to review. Let me know if you have any other questions, Josh Josh Haldeman - Vice-President DeLorean Owners Association From: lordshill@xxxxxxx Subject: Re: [DML] DeLorean Owners Association?? Josh... In this age of computers it seems strange that Directors without access to at least an e-mail account are still on the Board. The first thing that the DOA should do is re-write the Directors requirements. A computer is a necessity, not a luxury in this day ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
