If you are going to work on the car yourself, you will need space, preferrably covered, along with tools. And time. Since the DeLorean is from across the pond, you will need metric tools, so you might want to budget for any gaps in your toolbox. There are also some specialty tools you will need eventually (fuel system pressure testers, coolant system pressure tester, among others) that you either need to buy or get access to. Insurance will be another expense. Just getting insurance for a car like this will be a chore. -- Mike -------------- Original message from "Josh Porter" <joshp1986@xxxxxxxxx>: -------------- Ah yes, this sounds like me about 5 years ago. A heed of warning, but in a good way. If you get a car to learn on, be prepared to run into PO problems. I bought a $9K car, more times then not I felt like setting it on fire. I had to have help with it but I had a pretty good teacher. DeLoreans can be very frustrating to work on but the end product is well worth it. Previous owners can sometimes be the worst thing for a car.
